Sandman 2500-10x8x14 Supreme Pump
Sandman® Mission 2500 Supreme type 10x8x14 centrifugal pump with wide semi-open impeller creates lower axial thrust and reduces the concentration of solids that collect behind the impeller, which extends the life of the mechanical seal, packing, and stuffing box.
At 10x8x14, the largest size in the standard Magnum I / 2500 Supreme range, the pump is moving flow rates up to 4,000 GPM at head pressures up to 175 feet, in applications requiring up to 200 HP, which means more solids are being thrown outward by the impeller, and more of them are looking for a way into the stuffing box. That's exactly the failure mode the semi-open design was built to interrupt.
