Hydroman® Electric Submersible Slurry Pump Product Description
Hydroman® submersible slurry pump is a heavy-duty electro-submersible centrifugal pump specifically engineered to operate fully submerged in high-density, abrasive, and corrosive liquid-solid mixtures. Unlike standard clear-water or sewage submersible pumps, submersible slurry pumps feature high-chrome wear-resistant metallurgy, reinforced mechanical seal chambers, and often an integral bottom agitator to resuspend settled solids.
Hydroman® Electric Submersible Slurry Pump Design Featuers
High-Abrasive Metallurgy: Wet-end parts (volute casing, impeller, and backplate) are typically cast in 27% High-Chrome White Iron Cr27 or specialized alloy steel hyper-chrome to withstand intense erosion.
Agitator / Cutter Mechanism: Equipped with an external agitator blade mounted below the main suction inlet. The agitator breaks up compacted bed silt and keeps solids suspended for higher particle pick-up concentration.
Double Mechanical Seals: Housed in an oil chamber between the motor and pump end, featuring to prevent slurry ingress into the motor housing.
Class H Insulation & Thermal Sensors: Submersible electric motors are sealed to IP68 rating, featuring moisture detection probes and thermal protection to prevent overheating when operating under high load or partial submergence.
