FP/FPS Series

The Andman FP Series Fan Pump is a low-pulse, high-efficiency centrifugal pump purpose-built for the pulp and paper industry, engineered to deliver a perfectly uniform stream of paper stock to the headbox of medium- to high-speed paper-making machines. Within the range, "FPS" models are configured for lower-capacity applications, giving mills flexibility to match pump sizing precisely to machine speed and production output.

Double-Suction Split Case Construction
The FP Series uses a horizontally split, double-suction casing design that balances axial thrust on both sides of the impeller. This not only extends bearing and seal life but also allows the top casing to be removed for inspection and maintenance without disturbing piping or motor alignment — significantly reducing mill downtime during service.

 

Low-Pulse, Uniform Flow Delivery
Precision-engineered impeller and casing geometry minimizes pressure pulsation and flow fluctuation, ensuring the paper stock reaches the headbox at a constant, uniform rate — a key requirement for consistent sheet formation, especially at higher machine speeds.

 

High Hydraulic Efficiency
Larger FP configurations achieve hydraulic efficiencies of up to 92%, helping mills reduce energy consumption per ton of paper produced and supporting long-term operating cost savings.

 

Consistency Handling
Designed for stock suspensions and recycled/waste pulp at consistencies of 1%–2%, matching the typical dilution range used at the fan pump stage of the wet end.

 

Corrosion- and Abrasion-Resistant Materials
Available in cast iron, SS304, SS316L, and Duplex stainless steel (e.g., 1.4460) to withstand the abrasive and corrosive nature of pulp stock, process water, and chemical additives — extending service life even under continuous operation.
