TJW Series

The Tobee^® TJW Filter Press Feed Pump is a heavy-duty centrifugal pump built to feed abrasive, high-solids slurry into a filter press at controlled flow and pressure. Tobee offers the TJW series in several configurations so buyers can match the pump to their slurry type, process stage, and plant layout.

1. Wetted Material

High-Chrome Alloy: For highly abrasive slurries like tailings, ore concentrate, and mineral sands.
Rubber-Lined: For moderately abrasive, corrosive slurries such as coal washery feed.
Corrosion-Resistant Alloy: For chemical and hydrometallurgical slurries (zinc, copper, cobalt, nickel, manganese circuits).

2. Sealing Method

Packing Seal: Simple, low-maintenance, no seal water or mechanical seal required — the standard TJW option.
Expeller Seal: Water-free centrifugal sealing for processes where dilution isn't acceptable.
Mechanical Seal (optional): For hazardous or high-value chemical slurries needing tighter containment.

3. Flow/Pressure Stage

High-Flow, Low-Pressure: Fast-fills the press chambers at cycle start.
Low-Flow, High-Pressure: Squeezes out remaining liquid at cycle end — no VFD required.

4. Application Industry

Mining & Mineral Processing: Tailings, copper, zinc, nickel, gold, cobalt, coal washery.
Metallurgy & Smelting: Hydrometallurgical circuits.
Wastewater/Sludge Treatment: Municipal and industrial dewatering.
Chemical, Paper & Starch: Dyes, paints, pulp, starch slurries.
Pharmaceutical, Leather & Food: Hygiene- or corrosion-sensitive transfer.

Choosing the Right Configuration

Match the pump to slurry abrasiveness, the press cycle's flow/pressure profile, and sealing preference. Standard TJW construction handles slurry temperatures below 80°C; contact Tobee for high-temperature or highly corrosive variants.
