SB6x8J Desander Pump

SB6×8 Centrifugal Sand Pump is a heavy-duty centrifugal pump specially developed for oil and gas drilling equipment and solids control systems. Designed to handle corrosive drilling fluids containing suspended solids, the pump delivers reliable fluid transfer under demanding drilling conditions.

 

With an axial suction structure, wear-resistant cast-iron wetted components, and a robust mechanical design, the SB6×8 provides stable performance, long service life, and easy maintenance.

 

It is ideally suited as a feed pump for desanders and desilters, a mixing pump for jet mud mixing systems, and a charging/filling pump for drilling mud pumps. The pump can be used on both land-based and offshore drilling rigs.

Wear-Resistant & Corrosion-Resistant Design-The pump's flow-through components are manufactured from wear-resistant cast iron, providing excellent resistance to abrasion and corrosion when handling drilling fluids containing sand, solids, and other suspended particles.

Axial Suction Structure-The axial suction configuration provides an efficient flow path and helps maintain stable hydraulic performance when transferring drilling fluids and other abrasive liquid media.

Reliable Shaft Sealing-The SB6×8 can be equipped with mechanical seals or packing seals according to application requirements. Grease lubrication is provided for the shaft seal system to help reduce leakage and extend service life.

Long-Life Bearing System-The bearings use oil lubrication, helping ensure effective heat dissipation and reliable operation during continuous-duty applications.

Easy Maintenance & Strong Interchangeability-The SB series is designed with a high degree of part commonality and interchangeability. Components are easy to inspect, replace, and maintain, helping reduce downtime and maintenance costs.

Metric & Imperial Standards-The SB6×8 is available in configurations based on both metric and imperial standards, providing greater compatibility with drilling equipment and systems used in different markets.

Flexible Drive Options-Depending on the installation and operating requirements, the SB6×8 can be supplied with different drive configurations, including direct-coupled and belt-driven arrangements.

Viewed directly toward the pump inlet, the pump rotates clockwise, with the discharge outlet positioned on the left side of the vertical centerline of the inlet.

 

Reverse Rotation — F


Viewed directly toward the pump inlet, the pump rotates counterclockwise, with the discharge outlet positioned on the right side of the vertical centerline of the inlet.

The overall outline and installation dimensions of the reverse-rotation pump are substantially the same as those of the forward-rotation pump. The primary difference is the position of the volute discharge outlet.

 

Unless otherwise specified:

 

  • SB6×8 is supplied with forward rotation as the default configuration.
  • Metric flange dimensions are the default.
  • Direct drive is the default transmission configuration.
